Eye Lookers Get Stuff in em!
These are several pictures that I have been planning on posting.
Some of these pictures were a pixilated in certain spots because we were in the middle of a big city and had to carry protection. Just want to make sure it didn’t offend anyone that came across this baby.
We cannot be blamed for what we do when under the influence of Aphex Twin!

Google Wave
I finally activated my Google Wave account. If anyone out there has one add me! My address is flipjargendy {at} googlewave.com.
If you think you would use Wave, let me know. The only way you can sign up is if you are invited. Just like when Gmail started, it is still in testing. So, just like the person before me and the one before him, I’ll have anyone who wants an invite leave a comment to this post with your email address encoded in Base64. I like that idea because that way we aren’t giving bots email addresses to suck up and spam… and Base64 is so cool.
There are some awesome pictures Rach and I came across some awesome pictures which will definitely be posted on my next post. These photos are so great! The only reason I am not posting them is because of who is around me at the moment.

Shotguns, Fires in Snow and Crispy Flesh from Freezing Winds
» More Ways to have Fun in the Woods
”Would you like to go Partridge hunting this Sunday?” they asked me. My first thought,”I love meat, why not?” So I told them yes! Then I told them,”I have never shot a shotgun.”
A few days later Tim and I are in the woods. I am wearing a, borrowed, blaze orange hat and carrying a side-by-side (double barrel) shotgun loaded with two twelve gauge shells. My first thought,”Never thought I’d be doing this.”
”Now, when I shoot will it kick a lot? I mean, I don’t want to see a bird and not know what to expect when I shoot at it as its flying away.” I told him.
He said,”See that stump over there, just line up the bead [on the end of the barrel] with the stump and you’ll shoot it!”
After a little hesitation, being sure there was nothing living near my path of fire, I pulled the trigger and fired one of the shells. At the very moment I pulled the trigger the gun pushed into my shoulder and BB’s scattered on and around the stump. It felt good against my shoulder, like an expedited massage.
I didn’t see one bird, or hear one fly off. The population is pretty low the past two years, I am told. Next time I go, hopefully I can bring home some tasty food.
» Winter in the Boundary Waters
Over the weekend Rachel and I went to Ely, Minnesota to stay at a cabin with Steve & Aimee. It was the first real snow of the year. There was about six inches of snow on the ground in Ely. When we left home there was no snow on the ground. It was as if we travelled thousands of miles. The woods do not look like skeletons when you go that for north in Minnesota. They are so full of different types of pine and spruce trees that make up such a dense forest, it is thicker and more alive then the forests are in the lower north of the state.
Steve and I ended up hiking about 4 miles one day. We were about 6 miles from that Canadian border. We ate our lunch around a fire we made from birch bark and whatever dry wood we could find. It feels amazing to hike in such cold temperatures. It was so cold while we were there that the lakes, which were open the day before froze over completely. It was, at most, in the single digits during the day. The way your body feels when you stay warm just from moving in those temperatures is amazing. There is nothing like it.
Throughout the weekend I took pictures. My next post will contain those pictures.

Rhaphidophoridae… Camel Crickets! What!
Found a crazy looking bug in our basement today. It was a scary looking thing that can apparently jump several feet. Take a look at the pictures, they are so cool! Here’s more info you like this kind of stuff: Rhaphidophoridae. Whenever I come across a weird bug I always think to post it at BugGuide.net like my post which has the full size images: Beetle / Grasshopper looking bug! Never seen one before!. Lengends of Mythos and Fantasy Wonderment
Oderus Urungus and Beefcake are soOOooo funny!
Last night I had a dream that Rach said,”Let’s go to Munich for our Anniversary.” Then we were there. We were in this Costal city that I always go to in my dreams. There is this awesome parking ramp right over the water but a lot of times it gets flooded and you cannot get your car out. I learned long ago not to park there. It was fun because I knew where we were going until we decided to go somewhere further then I have ever gone. We got lost but eventually found our way back.
Watched Vikings vs. Packers… sort of. Mainly I watched Joan Rivers, Jerry Springer, Fox News and MTV News (from the 90’s) excerpts. Quite fun!
Also, Opera X is out but I really miss Opera IX. Teensie growl. Just found out that Opera (browser) has implemented in-line spell checking! OPERA ROCKS-AH!
My next post shall contain some photos-ah!

Concurrent Versions of the Brain
First Walleye in my HANDS! Ate them. My first one was 10 inches long… I snagged it! Ooops! That’s illegal! DNR man not happy.
Bigger fish yield well. Walleye look like little sea monsters who want to desicrate your throat. They have the teensiest of fangs and eyes but no eye sockets! Yocka bo-zocka! They are almost big enough to cuddle but that would be like trying to cuddle a big bar of Sandle-wood soap. They are slippy dippy.
At work last weekend I got a call to help a customer at the customer service desk (the “boat house”). It was very bothering because I was trying to get work done so I could get some things listed on eBay and GunBroker. When I got out to the boat house, no one was there. Then I heard someone say my name in an A.D.H.D. sort of way. It was my uncle! The last time I saw him was… way to long ago. It was great because I had been thinking of him for quite some time. His father-in-law was with him. He invited me to go fishing with him. We went… and his father-in-law, a pretty old dark horse type, had chart-plotter (GPS for boats) units all over the place on his fishing boat. He had an Aqua-Vu (under water camera system) and high tech depth/fish finder. It was very cool to see. After that experience I found out how worthless fishfinders are. The chart-plotter came in handy though. You can see the structure of the lake and find your way back in the dark! It was an experience.
It turned out to be a great night. The moon was out and the stars are amazing up here. You can see the haze of the Milky Way like a haze of fog drifting in the air. Plus I experienced an awesome time fishing with my uncle. I told him to come up for ice fishing this winter. He sounded excited about it. Hopefully he will be able to and I will get to write about another memorable experience with him.
- Snag
- To hook a fish externally that has not tried to bite on your lure/bait.
Rach is not home tonight so I make fish and wild rice food for me. She no like wild rice. Music for tonight is George Harrison….. what… I think the song that just started has a mantre in it because I think there was a lyric in there about Herr Krushna… hmmm. Pretty sure he’s at least singing about the Herr Krushna. This dude rocks some dackle saddle crops. Vinyl is good sound. Mars Volta sounds great on vinyl toozies.
Just through in a Jefferson Airplane album. Tonight I decided to listen to some old records I picked up when I was experimenting with music. Just listened to a little Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young but wasn’t in the mood. I used to listen to them a lot when I was nineteen. Jefferson Airplane is sleep enducingly boring but good for background noise.
Notes to self for future wonderment:
- Words stuck in my head for years:
- Karate Chop Massacre (From that night of long jambles and cackle blathers to Shannon and David)
- Screemin’ Urithras (Dave Anderson.. thanks. It is a funny image in the head)
- Poop Horse (One day it
poopedpopped into my head) - Watch out for Slim Pete! (Mulch beneath the feet in Avon at Blue Grass Festival. Chubby boy exits bus.)
- Bogdoxy (Ry Wilks… thanks, James-ah Joyce-ah rock-sah!)
- A rodent in the wall makes your wife want to bawl.
- Missesseses Robinson-ah! Woah, woah, woah… you just put in Simon and Garfungckle (Thank Rach… wouldn’t have experienced, if it weren’t for you)
- Joe Demajio – did you play baseball?
- Percy was a scavanger little lich when he turned up in the gutter but we love him today. He thinks I saved him because I slept with him when he was a kitten and he cried and almost cut open my eye-lid. I guess I didn’t really sleep. Rachel also saved him. I thought he might have rabbies and said we should leave him in the gutter. How could I!? (¡Gracias RaeRav!)
- Jeff Abbott where are you and your wife. Maybe I will be that guy on your couch that you make breakfast for. You won’t recognize me because I will have a beard. Don’t worry that will be okay then. Remember when we watched the lunar eclipse. Beautiful!
- Pink Floyd, driving the overnight, watching her sleep. First time I saw a Beautiful girl! Haven’t stopped since then.
- Get yourself a ribon for your Smith-Corona.
- Remember where you found that?! At the Palisades sitting in the lobby of the 550. Rock! Got a free Smith-Corona.
- Float. Fly. Liquid air. Breath under water. Phantasm.
- Remember when your body got warm. Feels like you could lie on needles and be comfortable? The climbing vines with blooming and de-blooming flowers. The amazement and wonder at seeing the earthquake christmas lights.
- Neu Ulm. Mein Frau und Mich das Radio spielte. Deutsch essen war gut.

Big Foot Sightings!
Over the years I have come accross many people who believe Sasquatch exists as much as they believe the Earth exists. I work with one. He gets super excited when the subject comes up, usually speaking with a higher pitched voice, bright, wide eyes and an alert standing position. A few days ago, some people he knows sent him an email with a photo from a trial camera attached. A trail camera is a camera with a built-in motion sensor. When something moves it takes a photo. The photo was an extremely close shot of an unidentifiable hairy creature. The hair is too long to be that of a bear and the camera is situated about 5½ feet off the ground.
After the escapade with the estatic young Sasquatch enthusiast, I asked my co-worker, Todd, if he believed in Big Foot. He responded, a little closed mouthed, that he wasn’t sure. The next day I asked another co-worker if he saw the pics. He then told me that Todd had seen Big Foot with his very eyes! Todd is not a drinker, drug user or terribly dramatic guy. He is a very logical guy. Hearing that he believes and a saw Big Foot makes me almost believe in Big Foot.
There has never been any doubt in my mind that Sasquatch could exist. There is an account of a forest ranger that I always think of when Sasquatch comes up. This forest ranger worked on an island. He never saw a wolf on this island. After about fifteen years of working on this island, one day he saw encoutered a pack of wolves! Amazing!
Apparently, Sasquatch is similar to wolves in that he is timid and keeps away from humans. This is what Sasquatch enthusiasts say. Take a look at the picture below… what do you think?

Craigs for Bem
The past few days I have been listening to The Blood Brothers. They give me spider fingers and beaver tail tongue… They are amazing.
Note: See the pictures at the bottom when you are done reading. They go along with this post. Pictures in my posts will soon be common. It is much more fun. Zugggggggaaaah.
Craigslist has pushed in the the far stretches of Earth and added a section for Bemidji, Minnesota. There is also a Brainerd, Minnesota section which may have just appeared as well. Since there aren’t many postings in Bemidji yet I decided to add a posting in the “Free” section. Apparently it goes against the Craigslist guidelines so it was flagged and taken down. Only one person had a chance to responde to my posting for a free glass of water. He was interested but wasn’t sure about the item when he emailed me saying: “I can’t tell from the picture but is that glass half full or half empty?”.
Abe contacted me the other day… wish I could join him. September, 11th really takes the fun out of things though… all I picture happening are people having a great time, just being gloomy the whole time or being raided by the F.B.I (J. Edgar Hoover). Either way it will certainly be fun… its going to be held at residence of Abe, Alex… and the rest of them. Wish I was there. 9-11 baby!
Recently, went on a long drive. Stopped in a little town and saw that some kid was looking for work. Resisted the urge to call the number. Would have felt bad.
Tonight, on the Super One bulletin board, I saw a flyer for a walk to prevent suicide… sounds like a lazy way to prevent suicide. It made me wonder how many people who drive electric wheel chairs join this walk.
Its starting to change colors a tiny, tiny bit here. Mushrooms are popping up and I wish I had a book to tell me if I will enjoy eating them or die a horrible vomiting death. Mushrooms and Sardines are on my tongue lately. There must be some way of making those tastes converge into an Earth shatering taste craft.
B ƒ L… Rach and I finally got to spend a day together. We walked around town and visited this amazing! rock garden a block away from our house. There is a stream and rocks and flowers! It is great. It was so nice to spend time together and relax for once. It makes me sort of happy that winter is nearing. My job will be less hours and we will be together in the house staying warm together.
