Fishing with a Bunch of Loons!
Rach and I have been living in the northern part of this torture chamber state for over half a year now. This iron maiden winter was tough but is almost over. The ice has opened up in a few spots on the lake and I have gone fishing twice now this year…. that does not mean I caught anything though. With the surroundings I was able to enjoy, I did not care if I caught anything or not. The first day I saw a few Loons some distance away, swimming in the water and thought it was amazing. The next time I went I tried another location and there were Loons there too! Six of them, three pairs. They stayed together as if they were mates. This time they were about forty feet away and after some time they came within about twenty-five feet away. I saw craw fish scrapping around on the rocks by me. Possibly, I will quit my job and we will live off fish!
Now that it is warming up I am happy but I am really missing my friends. I wish I could go bass fishing with Chad. Nothing seems right without Adam climbing around in some impossible chasm. There is nothing like the rubber band tapping of Alex laughing and talking. He is a funny guy. When will I get to have a good conversation with KC again as we watch Giant Robot save the Earth… then watch some more Star Trek. What about Josh and his “BABY!”, fortunately that “engorged dog on a fetus binge” was fictional. Who could go without a few pounds of Aaron & Miranda’s granola and cute little Emy. I sure do miss Mike’s murderous mania, which we will revive when we camp… I sure would like to get to know his wife! Ashley’s cozy creativity is surely missed and now she has gone to another state! Speaking of cozy I really miss the company of Ryan & Mel and the cozy air about them and their home. I always feel like I am in a James Joyce book when I am there. There are more of you but I have run out of time for typing… maybe next time I will get to post the rest.
Good night.
