Take that Roger Waters!
The former Pink Floyd band member, Roger Waters, is one of the headliners at Coachella this year. One of the main trademarks, or symbols, of Pink Floyd is the flying pig they have been using since the late seventies. Somehow during the show the floating pig, the size of a school bus, was released into the sky.
It is my guess that he did this intentionally. Judging by the amount of spray paint he used on the thing, making it look as ugly as possible, it does not seem to be very important to him. The biggest thing that tips me toward this conclusion is that on the belly of the pig there was painted a checkbox with a check mark in it and Obama’s name beside it. I’m not quite sure if that is an insult to Obama or Waters’ attempt at being supportive.
Prince Played
Another cool thing about Coachella this year was that Prince (AKA The Artist Formerly Known As Prince) was a headliner. He covered a Radiohead song and did a good job at it. It was all over YouTube but because of copyright crap it was all taken down.
It sounds fun but I prefer smaller shows and small venues. It just isn’t that much fun being at a huge festival unless there are bands that rarely tour.
That is my input for the day.
